How
can we help you help your patients? At Lakeshore Sports Physical Therapy, we cultivate
collaborative professional relationships with referring physicians for the benefit
of the patient. Our therapists are experienced and engage in thoughtful clinical
decision-making - keeping you informed when the situation warrants, but minimizing
extraneous communication. Communication of Progress
Upon completion of the initial examination, our findings of impairments and functional
limitations are communicated in a timely, typed letter. If the patient is progressing
as expected, you will receive a follow up letter every four weeks or upon return
visit to your office. All communications are formatted for simple comparison of
the patients status. Evidence-Based Treatment Approach
We utilize an eclectic treatment approach, combining manual therapy, prescriptive
exercise and education to speed recovery and prevent recurrence. We consistently
refer to the literature and consider the evidence when planning our treatment
and utilize objective measures to gauge progress. We track patient outcomes on
an ongoing basis and compare our performance to external and internal benchmarks.

Rehabilitation. Urgent Care For your patients
requiring urgent care, we offer appointments scheduled within one business day
to maximize the patients response to treatment and reduce recovery times.
Appointments We expect full participation from our
patients in their recovery and respect the time they are committing to their care.
Each of your patients will receive our undivided attention during their visit
- appointments are never overlapped and are appropriate in length, usually 45
to 60 minutes. We make every effort to accommodate our patients schedules with
appointments available from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM most days and the availability
of Saturday visits. Individualized Instruction
In order to promote carryover of recommended therapy and exercise at home, we
have utilize a unique exercise instructional system utilizing written, audio and
visual cues that can be accessed from a home computer. With Physioview.com
each patient views only the exercises and instructions prescribed by his or her
therapist, and the program is updated as their needs change. Patients without
access to the Internet receive individualized written and pictured instructions.
Transitional Exercise Intruction We support each of
our patients in implementing positive lifestyle changes that include regular exercise
for fitness & health. Our wellness consultations, programs & classes are
designed to bridge the gap between supervised exercise with a physical therapist
and community-based programs. Patients will learn to modify popular exercise programs,
such as Pilates and yoga to accommodate
individual limitations.
